Overview
This article details frequently asked questions about Repeat shutting down.
Q: What is happening to Repeat?
A: Repeat is winding down, with tournaments concluding by June and a shutdown near the end of the year.
Q: How long will Repeat be around?
A: Tournaments will conclude by the end of May, with the final shutdown being near the end of the calendar year.
Q: What happened to my coins?
A: Any user with a coin balance of 70,000 or more coins automatically had their coins converted to cash. Users with coins below this threshold will not have their coins converted. The conversion rate is 10,000 coins to 1 United States dollar.
Q: Why is the threshold 70,000 coins specifically?
A: We’ve lowered the coin redemption threshold from ~90,000 coins (which was previously the lowest coin price of a gift card) to 70,000 coins to make it easier for users to reach the redemption limit under the Terms of Service. This change allows more customers, especially those close to the previous threshold to benefit, while still accounting for the operational and processing costs associated with converting smaller balances.
Q: Can I combine my coins with another account to get over the threshold?
A: No.
Q: Can I withdraw my money still?
A: Yes. Withdrawals will stay open until November 14th.
Q: Do I still need to verify my account to withdraw my funds?
A: No, we've removed the requirement to verify your account before withdrawing on Repeat.
Q: I do not meet the $20 threshold to withdraw, what can I do?
A: We've removed the $20.00 USD minimum balance withdrawal requirement. This will allow users to initiate a cash withdrawal even if they have less than $20.00 USD (or local currency equivalent) in their account.
Q: What are the withdrawal fees and how do they work?
A: Withdrawal fees through Tipalti depend on the payment method, your location, and the currency you're converting to. It is the user's responsibility to pay these fees.
Q: The fees are more than my withdrawable amount, what can I do?
A: Unfortunately, if the fees associated with your withdrawal exceed your balance, you will be unable to withdraw.
Q: Can I make a partial withdrawal, or only take the full balance?
A: Users will only be able to withdraw their full balance.
Q: Will withdrawal fees be deducted from my balance, or do I receive the full amount?
A: Processing fees will apply to all withdrawals and will vary depending on your region and chosen withdrawal method.
Q: What happens to any pending payouts or withdrawal requests?
A: They’ll continue as normal during wind down and the withdrawal-only phase. Contact support@repeat.gg if you run into any issues.
