Before you can get started playing Dota 2 tournaments on Repeat.gg, you have to connect your Steam Account to your Repeat account. Below you’ll find detailed instructions with screenshots on how to connect your Dota 2 ID.
Note: By connecting your Game ID, we only have access to the data that each game makes publicly available. We do NOT collect ANY personal information that may be connected to that game’s account.
Make your Steam profile Public
In order for your stats to be counted automatically on Dota 2 leaderboards, you need to make sure your Steam profile is set to “public.”
First, open Steam or go to steamcommunity.com and go to “view my profile.”
Then find the “Edit Profile” button.
Then click “Privacy Settings” in the left side menu from your profile page.
Once there, simply change your “My profile” option set to public.
Expose Public Match Data on Dota 2
After you complete this step, you must expose your public match data within the game itself.
Do this by opening Dota 2, navigate to the settings, then navigate to the “Social” tab where you will find this option, and make sure the box is checked.
This will ensure your data is counted correctly within Dota 2 tournaments on Repeat.gg. You can verify your stats are public through looking up your stats through this website: https://www.dotabuff.com/. If you have any trouble, please reach out to our support.
